Paediatric Urologist
I have been a surgeon for 29 years. Initially, my patients were adults. In 2001, I began treating children, and in the last 15 years, I have focused exclusively on paediatric urology.
During most of my professional life, I hoped that I would be able to provide Czech children with surgical treatment of simple urological disorders the way I had experienced while working abroad – on an outpatient one-day basis, without the need for hospitalization.
I have only been able to make that wish come true after joining My Clinic, a health facility that provides optimal conditions and resources for providing this type of medical care.
Key Professional Milestones
2009–Present – Physician at the Paediatric Urology Unit, Department of Urology of the General University Hospital and the First Faculty of Medicine in Prague.
2019–Present – Chairperson of the Paediatric Section of the Czech Urological Society, an association that brings together all paediatric urologists in the Czech Republic.
2015–2024 – Member of the Educational Committee of the European Society for Paediatric Urology (ESPU) and an examiner for qualification examinations of the Fellow of the European Academy of Paediatric Urology (FEAPU).
Member of the Accreditation Committee for Paediatric Urology at the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic.
Grantee for a Charles University adolescent fertility research project.
Author of numerous specialized publications in domestic and foreign magazines. Holder of the Czech Urological Society Award for the Best Monograph of the Year 2024.
Magazine reviewer of the Journal of Paediatric Urology and the Czech Urology.
2000–2009 – Volunteer physician in Central African Republic during several periods.
2002–2003 – Internship at the Paediatric Surgery Department of Hôpital Necker teaching hospital in Paris.
2004 – Internship at the Istituto Gaslini in Genoa.
Founder of SIRIRI, a non-profit organization that has been supporting development programmes in Central African Republic since 2006.
